ELISA Testing

Description: Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is used in cotton testing to detect genetically modified (GM) traits or specific proteins expressed in Bt cotton (such as Cry1Ac, Cry2Ab.). It identifies whether cotton seeds or leaves contain the Bt toxin proteins produced by inserted genes.

Benefit:This helps labs, seed companies, and regulatory bodies confirm if a cotton sample is Bt cotton or non-Bt cotton, and also whether the Bt expression level is sufficient.
